I undertake most repairs to most types of cycle. While I am starting up, a few jobs will be beyond my available tooling, for example some frame repairs. On the other hand, I have many more engineering and machine tools than most bike workshops so I can do more custom work.
There's no retail outlet and no fixed hours. That's great if you can't get to a bike shop during their opening hours. Give me a call/text/email to be seen immediately or arrange an appointment.
I try to operate a fair pricing policy, and that precludes the use of set price lists. You see, a safety check and minor adjustments on a well-kept bike can take a few minutes. The same on a bike that has every adjustment needing attention but corroded can take hours. To charge the same for both would be unfair. Also, if you pay set fees to true a wheel, fix a puncture and replace the tyre, you'll have paid three times for workshop overheads, to take the wheel out of the frame and to remove the tyre.
The workshop rate is £30 per hour with a £5 minimum. Advice and trivial on-the-spot adjustments are free if the machine doesn't need to go into the workshop.
